Orange Blossom

Happy Saturday and it's Paula here. Today's card uses stamps from Paint Fusion by Sheena Douglas. Sheena shows you how to use paints on these stamps, or that is what they are designed to be used with. Instead, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks which you can also find on the Crafter's Companion site. They also carry the refills so you can re-ink your ink pads or try some of his other ideas. There are lots of colors to choose from.

To make this card:
  1. I started with a white coated matte card and stamped all of the images using a dark brown dye ink. Then I used the Tim Holtz inks. I rubbed the Dried Marigold on to the flowers and followed with Spiced Marmalade. For the leaves I started with Mustard Seed and followed with Peeled Paint. Then I cut out all. I put the flowers through a dot folder.
  2. For the small circle, punched out on an extra leaf and adhered to a larger punched out scalloped circle in light yellow. Added a brad at the center.
  3. Trimmed a light blue and yellow specialty paper. Used stitch punch at all sides of the light blue card and layer together. Also made strips of the same colors and use stitch on the light yellow. Layered strips together and punched holes for a brad at the top and bottom. Layered strips to the right side of a folded light cream textured card. Layered other pieces to the left.
  4. Mounted leaves first and then added two flowers with punched out circles and round white die cut. Sliped in stamen parts with small pieces of mounting tape.
Hope you enjoyed this Saturday's card. Be sure to visit the other designer's creations. Also check out the $100 give away on my blog. You'll find the details posted a couple of Saturday's ago.
