Art Kure Pansy

Well it seems like Spring is just around the corner with all this warm weather we are having. It's a perfect time to grab some of the latest Art-Kure Britain in Bloom stamps. They have a lovely set of flowers that will call to your coloring creativity.

I chose to ink up the stamp "Pansies" as these are one of my favorite flowers. I used my Spectrum Noir pens to capture that wonderful watercolor effect some of the pretty flowers have. A tip for creating the dark to light effect: start at the center where the flower is darkest and use the darkest color you want. Next chose the next 2 or three colors and add those but not on top of the dark color. Make a ring showing each color. Next, take your blender and slowly  start from the lightest color and gently blend down. Next start at the darkest and blend very slightly up until you have the effect you want.
Don't forget to stop back every day for fresh inspiration!

It's a beauty-I love the stitching and the distressed edge on the flower card. All the other extras really bring it together.
