Now let me show you the fun S.W.A.L.K.- Number 1 Brother birthday card I made for my brother. (shhhh don't tell him) ha
I like the cool way I made my card so I thought I would show you how I did it. First I cut a piece of card stock 5" x 12" and folded it vertically on my Ultimate Tool on the Half Fold 12x12 line. (the fold will be on the top of the card)
Next I cut a piece of card stock slightly smaller than my die cut Spectrum Noir colored image. And then I cut a piece of coordinating pattern paper a bit smaller across the width than the card stock.
Here comes the slightly tricky part. Pull out your circle punch. I actually wish I had used a smaller punch but I was lazy and just grabbed the punch that was near my desk. You will turn your punch over so you can see what you are punching and punch half of the circle on the top (folded edge) of your base card. (going through both pieces of paper)
After I punched the half circle on the base card I can started layering the card stock and the patterned paper that I cut. I stopped and punch through each layer separately. It was just easier on my punch. Then I pulled out some ribbon from my stash and wrapped it vertically through the punched hole in the card and I pulled the ends to the front of the card and knotted them and trimmed the ends.
Finally I attached the die cut colored image with double sided adhesive foam squares. I stamped out the sentiment for the front and for the inside, layered them on paper and adhered them to the card.
I think this is such a fun way to put my ribbon on the card. Thank you for stopping by and looking at my project. Until next time...happy scrapping!!
