Creating a Subtle Background

Trena created a great tutorial recently using her Spectrum Noir refill inks and featuring images from two Sheena Douglass stamp sets - Spring and Silhouette Garden.  Take a look at the card she created:

Here is a closer look at how she created it:

"I stamped the images onto semi-glossy cardstock with a watermark ink pad, sprinkled with embossing powder and heat set."

"I spritzed a paper towel with alcohol, dropped Spectrum Noir ink refills and pulled color from the top of the scene to bottom."

"Colors used: DG2, PL2, PP4, TB4"

"To give the flowers a little color, I dripped a little ink onto an acrylic block used a paint brush. I also brushed green over the leaves. The embossed part of the images act as a resist, and any color fills in around it."
