Hello Crafter's Companion Friends! Today we would like to share a tutorial from one of our new designers Laurel Beard using one of the new Sheena Douglass Embossing Folders called Distress Spatter along with some other great products from the Crafters Companion site.
Laurel created the background with the NEW Sheena Douglass embossing folder called Distress Spatter and distress inks. The butterfly is from the Flying Colors stamp set and was also created using distress inks.
To start, Laurel embossed the Distress Spatter embossing folder using the eBosser machine.
Next she took the Mowed Lawn and Vintage Photo distress inks and inked up the stamp with both colors.
Making sure to cover the stamp completely with ink, she then spritzed the stamped image with water..... Distress Inks are formulated to react to water so this makes these inks very unique.
The image was stamped on Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock which works perfectly with this technique.
Next, she used an ink blending tool and Weathered Wood Distress Ink and inked up the embossed background adding some extra ink around the edges to make the embossed images pop!
For a finishing touch, she spritzed some water onto the embossed background with her fingers.
And she stamped the sentiment from the Sentimentals Imagine Stamp Set using weathered wood distress ink.
