Tutorial: Stamping on Layouts & Handmade Embellishments

Hi Friends!   Today Chrissie is sharing a fabulous tutorial of a layout she made using a Sheena Douglass stamp set and some fun handmade enamel dots.

Here is the process Chrissie followed to create this simple and fun scrapbook layout!  First she pulled out 3D Crystal Lacquer and placed some dots on waxed paper.

Once they were dry, she used Spectrum Noir markers (BT4, LV2) and colored a few so they would match perfectly!

According to Chrissie, they looked a little messy on the waxed paper, but they are nice and clean on the actual layout.  She used Collal Tacky glue to adhere them to the layout.

She lightly traced a square with a pencil on her 12x12 cardstock for her photo frame and then stamped the beautiful feather from Sheena's A Little Bit Magical: Knowledge in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then she used a black pet and traced over the pencil and erased any pencil lines that still showed.

To add some color to the layout, she gently took a waterbrush and mixed it with two Distress Inks (Broken China and Milled Lavender).  She purposely 'painted' behind the feather and wasn't exact to give it a great watercolor effect.

She added a few splatters to finish it off and then the sweet picture of her daughter.  The sentiment "Happiness" is also from the same Sheena set as the feather (Sheena's A Little Bit Magical: Knowledge).
