Tutorial: Halloween Spatter Background

Trena created a fabulous custom background perfect not just for Halloween, but any occasion (just change the Spectrum Noir colors used!). See how she did it:

Supplies:

Directions:

Step 1: Make sure all refill ink is out of the True Black pipette then squeeze on to flat Shimmering cardstock. It will blow out a bit of air.

Step 2: Add some ink drops with OR2.

Step 3: Stamp the main image on Ultra Smooth White cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir blendable pencils. Begin at the top with the darkest shade (26), then go back with the mid-tone (22), then complete with the lightest (21). Blend softly as you go.

Step 4: Use Die'sire Nouveau stamping frame die to die cut the sentiments. Before removing it from the die use a sponge dauber to dd Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and Electric Orange Radiant Neon ink.

Step 5: Cut the background down to A2 size and sponge around the border with Electric Orange.

Step 6: Sponge around the sentiment with a cotton swab or Q-tip to get in the tight curves and add some swirls using the Electric Orange ink.

Step 7: Layer over Black Pearl Shimmering cardstock.
