Tutorial: Inking Up Create-A-Card Dies

Today Chrissie is sharing a beautiful birthday card she made using the new Birthday Flower Create A Card Die by Die'Sire and some ink!

Step 1: Trim the white cardstock with the die and poke out the excess pieces.  (TIP: use a piece of wax paper between the die and cardstock and the pieces small detailed pieces will come out much easier).

Step 2: Flip the piece over with the die still in place and place it on a scrap piece of paper (to protect my surface).  Select an ink color (Peacock Feathers Distress ink used here) and apply to the top of the die with a sponge applicator, making sure it gets onto the paper.

Step 3: Remove the die and wipe off the ink with a damp paper towel.

Step 4: Die cut some flowers and leaves from the Die'Sire 3D Delicate Flower Dies.

Step 5: Using a sponge dauber, apply ink to the flowers and stems.

Step 6: For the background panel, apply inks to a piece of white cardstock for an ombre effect.  Inks used here were Distressed Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Ripe Persimmon.

Believe it or not, this gorgeous card only too her about 20 minutes to make!
