Tutorial: Stencils and Stamps!

We are excited to share Lori's project & tutorial, because not only does it use one of the new Sheena Douglass Stencils called Spring Meadow (coming soon), but she also used the new Bebunni Floral set called Flower Garden.  They work so perfectly together!

Here's how Lori made the background for her card.

Step 1: Place cardstock panel in cardboard box so that the overspray won't ruin any supplies or your work surface. Position stencil over cardstock. If needed, use EZ Release Tape to hold stencil and cardstock in place.

Step 2: Spray Fireworks over stencil. If needed, spray again to add more color.

Step 3: Carefully lift off stencil from cardstock, and set aside “wet side up”. Set aside sprayed cardstock panel to dry. This panel was used on the finished card project.

NOTE: It isn’t necessary to do the next steps in a cardboard box.

Step 4: Lightly mist stencil with water. This will re-moisten the Fireworks Spray that remains on the stencil. Press the stencil on top of a cardstock panel. Tip: For easy clean-up, do this on a craft mat or scrap paper.

Step 5: Lift off stencil. Set cardstock panel aside to dry.

Step 6: Repeat steps 4 & 5 to create another other panel.   Once the additional panels are dry, use them for new projects either as backgrounds or trim them with dies.

Step 7: Clean off any ink that remains on stencil with water or a wet wipe.

Supplies Used:
Sheena’s 7” x 7” Stencil - Shady Meadow (coming soon)
Bebunni Floral Stamp Set - Flower Garden
Memento Fireworks Spray - New Sprout
Watercolor cardstock
