Tutorial: Shutter Card

Gini has created an easy-to-follow tutorial for this gorgeous shutter card!

Crafter's Companion US supplies:


1. Cut construction cardstock 6” x 15”.

2. Using the Big Score, score and cut as marked above.

3. Fold the scores as shown.

4. Cut multiple mats for each section of the card:
5 ¾” x 1 ¾” (two for front, two for back)
2 ¾” x 3 ¾” (two for front, two for back)
4 ¾” x 3 ¾” (one for front, one for back)
¾” x 2 ¾” (six for front, six for back)
¾” x ¾” (eight for front, eight for back)

5. Adhere the mats to the card base, using double sided tape.

6. Cut the panels for each mat:
5 ½” x 1 ½” (two for front, two for back)
2 ½” x 3 ½” (two for front, two for back)
4 ½” x 3 ½” (one for front, one for back)
½” x 2 ½” (six for front, six for back)

7. Emboss the panels using the Hessian embossing folder. Adhere to card.

8. Die cut the flowers and leaves. Shape with stylus. Adhere to card.

9.Stamp the sentiment. Mat with matching cardstock and adhere to center panel.

10. Finish card with pearls and ribbons as shown.
