Tutorial: Red Lucky Envelopes

Today in our tutorial Emily shares with you how to make your very own Red Lucky Envelopes ready for the Chinese New Year!

Crafter's Companion supplies used to make this project:

Directions:

Step 1: Cut a piece of red paper or cardstock to 6" x 6".

Step 2: Align one of the corner on Crafter’s Companion’s Ultimate Tool and score at line B. Rotate the paper to the opposite corner (180 degrees) and score at line B again.

Step 3: Rotate the paper to either of the adjacent corners (90 degrees) and score at line D. Rotate the paper to the opposite corner (180 degrees) and score at line D again.

Step 4: Trim the four excess corners.

Step 5: Fold in the two flaps that have longer edge. Draw a pencil line between the spots where those two flaps meet. Cut it along the pencil line you just drew.

Step 6: Flip over to the front, and emboss your image in gold. I chose the lantern and “good luck” sentiment.

Step 7: Round the corner of the flaps with shorter edge.

Step 8: Adhere three of flaps together. DO NOT adhere the top of the envelope.

Have lots of fun making some of these yourself.
