Tutorial: Sweet Treats Gift Bag

This tutorial from Ginny will show you how tomake your own handled gift bag. This would be great for so many occasions... all you need to do is add your gift!

Crafter's Companion US supplies:

Other Supplies: Embossing Powder (Ranger-Bridal Tinsel), Embossing Adhesive Dabber, Heat Tool, Hole Punch, Blending Tool, Pink Chevron Ribbon Pink Twine, Pink Button, Small Sharp Scissors, Handle From Paper Bag, Double Sided Adhesive Tape, Hot Glue, Patterned Tissue Paper

Step 1: Cut 1 piece (6 x 17 inches) from Sweet Treats Card Pack with the small rosebuds and stripes. Cut 1 piece (1 ¼ x 17 inches) from the polka dot patterned paper.

Step 2: Score the large piece on the long side with the Ultimate Tool at 1 “ - 7” - 9” - 15”. This will be the top of the bag. 

Turn to short side and score at 1 ½ inches. This will be the bottom of the bag. With scissors snip the score lines on the bottom of the bag and trim off the 1” section.

Score the smaller strip at 1 “ - 7” - 9” -15” Fold and crease well at all score lines.

Step 3: Using double sided adhesive tape attach the smaller strip to the top of the top of the bag.

Step 4: Assemble bag and secure with double sided adhesive tape on bottom and sides.

Step 5: Cut a banner shape from white cardstock using the Die-sire Die. And punch holes in each banner section. Ink and emboss. Use heat tool to set powder.

Step 7: Attach banner to front of bag using double sided adhesive tape.

Step 8: With hot glue attach bows created with the ribbon and twine and buttons. Add the handle also with hot glue.

Step 9: Fill bag with coordinating patterned tissue paper and of course your gift !!
