Tutorial: Flower Tag Magnets

Want to make something a bit different with your papercrafting supplies? Dana has a tutorial for you to show you how she made these beautiful magnets!

Crafter's Companion Supplies:

Other Supplies: white ribbon, Versafine black ink

Step 1. Die-cut tags from Crafter’s Companion watercolor card stock and thin chip board, cereal boxes or left over package make for great chipboard. And it's free!

Step 2. Stamp flowers with Versafine on watercolor card stock.

Step 3. With Spectrum Noir Aqua markers and water, color the flowers. Orange, Marigold, Sunflower, Gold, Orchid, Heather, Teal, Moss, Leaf.

Step 4. Fussy cut out the flowers with sharp scissors.

Step 5. Add water with a white brush to the watercolor tags. Scribble the Teal marker and with a wet paint brush added a little bit of color to the tag. Add more water to lighten the color if needed.

Step 6. When the watercolored tags are dry, adhere them to the chip board tags.

Step 7. Adhere the flowers to the tags with foam tape and add white ribbon to the top of the tags.

Step 8. Add magnets to the back of each tag.

Step 9. Place tags on fridge or other metal surface!

You could do this project with kids, too - they'd love it! Have fun making these gorgeous magnets!
