Tutorial: Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Create a Mixed Media project with Chrissie's step by step tutorial. Chrissie takes you through each step so you can create fabulous projects like this too.

Crafter's Companion US supplies:
Other Supplies: Micron Black Pen, Dylusions Fresh Lime Spray, Washi Tape, Deco Art Paints Cobalt Teal, Titanium White, Primary Magenta Enamel Dots, Pencil, Scissors, Paintbrushes

Step 1: Trim paper to 8x8. Place stencil on top and secure with washi or other repositionable tape that will remove without leaving a mark. Make sure stencil is very secure.

Step 2: Add desired paint(s) using brush or fingers.

Add multiple colors to create more interest. Remove stencil when complete and allow paint to dry.

Step 3: Once paint is dry, place Pop Dotty on cardstock and secure as previously done. Add embossing paste using palette knife or cardstock.

Add in different areas on the layout. Remove stencil immediately and clean. Allow paste to dry.

Step 4: Ink up stamp with Distress Ink. Stamp onto scrap piece of paper first, so ink is faded, then stamp onto layout. Do this multiple times.

Step 5: Add different sprays to layout. Scribble Spectrum Aquas onto an Acrylic Block and add water. Using a brush, flick color onto cardstock.

Step 6: Add some paint to a brush and lightly add to the layout, over dry paste and paint. Do not add any water. This is called dry brushing. It adds more layers and interest to the layout.

Step 7: Adhere picture to the layout. Stamp sentiment onto cardstock and add lines with a black pen to draw attention to it. Adhere to layout. Add washi and enamel dots.
